easter!

Easter turned out to be a mix of craziness and rest this year. Ethan and I were both in the midst of a lovely spring cold and so that definitely changed some of our plans for the day.

Our day started at church - well at the Chaifetz arena where our church held an all-campus service (around 4000+ people!). I helped to serve in Journey Kids and so Ethan hung out with me while Pete was running around taking pictures of everything.

We got home pretty late and all rested/took a nap. We had originally planned to have Auntie and Uncle Russell and sweet Ella over for a low key dinner but because Ella is only a few weeks old we didn't want her catching our colds. We had a low key family afternoon instead.

Ethan got to open up his Easter basket.
Then we went out for a late lunch and then to the park!
Baby girl is 32 weeks here!
Ethan was so excited, he even ran back to the car. All in all, a sweet Easter.

birthday parties

During the last few weeks Ethan has had a lot of birthday parties to attend for his friends who have all turned two!

We got to enjoy some park fun (and lots of running) for Violet's birthday party.
We had a lot of fun at Jake's party at the Little Gym.
And had another fun party at a park for Jack's birthday.
The boy has some serious static happening when he goes down the slide.
I can't believe it will only be a couple of months until our little man turns two himself! The question is, will his baby sister make her debut before or after his big day?

getting ready for easter

This year we had a lot of fun doing some Easter craft projects.
Ethan was especially prolific with the Easter egg sticker project. We sent these out as a special gift to all the grandparents.
And we also had a total blast dyeing Easter eggs this year!

Ethan loved to stir the eggs and then drop/slam them into each of the cups.

Our finished project! A very pastel assortment.
Our egg dyeing adventure ended with Ethan somehow finding and EATING a red dye tablet! Let's just say our kitchen was a wet zone after I grabbed the kitchen sink faucet/hose and tried to spray out his mouth. Never a dull moment in our house, that is for sure!
